The CFC-Singles For Christ Soldiers IV Unit headed by Bro. Jojo and Sis.
May Cruz successfully conducted their "Baptism In the Holy Spirit" at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Formation Center.
This is part of their 9th Christian Life Program (CLP) Talk entitled: "Receiving the Power of the Holy Spirit."
A total of 38 out of 42 from Soldiers IV and a female participant from
Queens' Row received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. According to the Bible, there are nine of gifts or "charisms" that
the believer receives for the benefit of strengthening the body of Christ. Namely these are:
- Wisdom
- Knowledge
- Faith
- Healing
- Miracles
- Prophecy
- Discernment
- Tongues and;
- Interpretation of Tongues
The service started with a fiery talk from Tito Vheo Balbarosa of Pilar. Afterwards,
he led the participants in professing their "Committment to Christ." With this, they formally renounced the works of
Satan and commit and submit themselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ through a dynamic and personal relationship with
Him. This was followed by the Baptism proper where all the participants are prayed over for them to receive the gifts
of the Holy Spirit.
And of course, a baptism will never be complete without a praisefest. God again proves once
and for all that a small place is never too small for His presence to be felt. With only two instrumentalists and five
songs all the participants jumped for joy as they were led to praise and worship God who is "worthy to be praised." (2 Samuel 22:4)
